Sometimes the most valuable innovations on the ramp aren’t about making equipment bigger—they’re about making it smarter, easier to use, and more adaptable to the job at hand.
That’s exactly what makes the new TLD NBT-ER electric belt loader such an exciting addition to the AERO Specialties lineup.
Designed for business aviation, regional airline operations, and narrow-body aircraft, the NBT-ER combines the functionality operators expect from a full-featured belt loader with the maneuverability of a compact, walk-behind unit. And when it’s time to move farther across the ramp, it can simply be towed to the next aircraft or operating area.
Walk It. Tow It. Put It Wherever You Need It.
One of the NBT-ER’s standout features is right in the design: it’s both walk-behind and towable.
For operators working in tight ramp environments, congested hangars, or around smaller aircraft, the walk-behind configuration gives personnel precise control when positioning the unit. There’s no cab or large vehicle platform to maneuver around the aircraft—just a compact belt loader designed to go where it’s needed.
When the job requires moving equipment across a larger ramp or between operating areas, the NBT-ER can be towed instead. It’s a simple combination that gives operators considerably more flexibility from a single piece of equipment.
Built for a Wide Range of Aircraft
Compact doesn’t mean limited.
The NBT-ER features a 6-meter boom designed to accommodate exceptionally low baggage doors while still reaching doors on larger aircraft. TLD specifies the unit for regional aircraft, business jets, and narrow-body aircraft, giving FBOs, airlines, MROs, and other operators a versatile solution capable of supporting a broad portion of their fleet.
The belt loader also provides up to 810 kg of load capacity with the boom lowered, along with variable belt speed to give operators greater control when loading and unloading baggage, cargo, and oversized items.
The Little Things Matter
What really makes the NBT-ER interesting are the details.TLD has incorporated a number of features designed around the people who actually use the equipment every day. An on-board charger simplifies charging. An emergency hand pump provides additional operational backup. Emergency-stop controls are positioned around the unit, while available features such as adjustable or collapsible guide rails, belt-speed control, wheel chock storage, proximity sensing, a front movement buzzer, and a pendant that allows belt operation from the aircraft baggage compartment can make everyday ramp work easier and more intuitive.
Those may sound like small conveniences individually, but anyone who works around GSE knows how quickly small improvements add up over hundreds or thousands of turns.
Electric Without Sacrificing Utility
The NBT-ER is powered by a 48V electric system, eliminating fuel consumption during operation while also reducing the noise and vibration associated with conventional engine-powered equipment. Fewer traditional engine components can also contribute to lower maintenance requirements and reduced total cost of ownership over the equipment’s service life.
For operations looking to introduce more electric GSE without giving up everyday practicality, that combination matters.

A Remarkably Versatile Addition to the Ramp
The new TLD NBT-ER represents the kind of ground support equipment we’re excited to bring to our customers: practical, thoughtfully designed, highly maneuverable, and built around real ramp operations.
Walk it into position. Tow it across the ramp. Charge it and put it back to work. Service everything from business jets and regional aircraft to narrow-bodies—all with one remarkably capable electric belt loader.
For operations where space, efficiency, flexibility, and ease of use matter, the TLD NBT- ER deserves a closer look.
