Adapting Quickly to Maintain Relevance

“If you don’t drive your business, you will be driven out of business.” That’s a powerful statement once said by B.C. Forbes. FlightBridge and Airtight Aviation Services understood this early on and have invested more into their companies to stay essential during COVID.

In response to industry need, FlightBridge was created to address the problems of cost and time inefficiencies associated with booking trip-related services. Thus, FlightBridge was born making it easy to manage details surrounding a constantly-changing trip schedule by integrating with all scheduling systems and FBO point-of-sale systems. Not only is FlightBridge a time saver, but they also help customers save money by offering discounted rates on hotels, rental cars, ground transportation, catering, FBO services, commercial air tickets, and more.

With COVID-19 being a hindering factor in the future of businesses’ sustainability and worth, FlightBridge met the challenge head-on and quickly adapted to our world’s new, more remote work environment by providing a secure, web-based platform that is easily used on a mobile device or from a home office. FlightBridge also noticed with personnel cutbacks, the aviation industry was having to do more with less employees and therefore launched a self-service help center on their website so customers could obtain immediate answers any time of the day or night.

Airtight Aviation Services joined the industry when they saw the huge demand for regulated and certified aircraft appraisals within the industry. Similar to the situation with home appraisals of the past where anyone could say they were appraisers with no real education or governing body to regulate the appraisals, aircraft appraisals are turning the corner in the very same manner. With banks, insurance companies, and the IRS pushing for regulation and for stricter controls in place, Airtight capitalized on the fact that they employ professional aircraft appraisers who are certified by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and who are Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant.

Since most of Airtight’s business can be handled remotely they are still able to offer services worldwide and are finding the appraisal market especially busy as many companies are still struggling at an operational level with many of the borders being restricted or closed. Not to be solely focused on one segment of the aviation industry, Airtight’s experienced staff has allowed them to branch out and offer flight operation consulting in the areas of audits, manuals, ERP, and SMS services.

Years of experience coupled with the drive to accept and adapt to change, will keep Airtight Aviation Services and FlightBridge ahead of the curve for years to come.
